Lánshæfismat Íbúðalánasjóðs er unnið af tveimur alþjóðlegum matsfyrirtækjum, Moody´s Investors Service og Standard & Poor´s. Bæði fyrirtækin voru fengin til að meta lánshæfi sjóðsins um mitt árið 2004 þegar útgáfa íbúðabréfa hófst. Moody´s metur lánshæfismat sjóðsins eingöngu með tilliti til íslenskrar myntar en Standard & Poor´s með tilliti til íslenskrar og erlendrar myntar.
